NEW – LADAKH trekking and cultural tours
In our last trips we fell in love with Ladakh, in its extraordinarily barren mountain landscapes, its green oases and its snowy peaks. The masterpiece monasteries, the Buddhist-Tibetan culture have impressed us. The landscape is perfect for hiking and trekking. The rich culture invites to dive into it. We have therefore decided to put together some of the most beautiful tours.
– LADAKH – Sham Valley Camping Trekking – Moderate
– Markha Valley Camping Trekking – Moderate to Challenging
– Nubra Valley via Lasermo La – Camping Trek – Challenging
– Cultural Tour in Ladakh – in “little Tibet”– Easy
Because we cannot offer further trips (due to the monsoon) during the summer months in Nepal, except the “Upper Mustang” and “Upper Dolpo tours”, the Ladakh tours are ideal for those of you who can travel only in the summer months. The best times to visit Ladakh are namely the months of June to September. The July and August are the peak season and are particularly warm. Here is to be expected with large temperature differences. In the cities in daytime it can reach temperatures higher than 35 ° C. At night the temperature can drop to about 20 ° C. The snow line in the mountains in July and August is generally at about 5,500 m and thus the temperature is overnight does not fall below 0 ° C.
Because of its well-preserved Tibetan Buddhist culture and its customs Ladakh is also called “Little Tibet”. Since today Ladakh belongs to India, you need an Indian visa for travel. The arrival in India is carried out by plane from Delhi to Leh (capital of Ladakh).
Enjoy the pictures/information and let us know if you have any questions or are interested in one of the trips.
