Even though I was still very young at the time, the country left such traces in my memory that for years I had been thinking about visiting this special country one more time in my life.<br>Then I happily came across geoDiscovery Tours and was advised so kindly and competently by Mrs. Kolay that I booked the trip from Paro to Bumthang for March\/April.<br>Since no other travellers were found for the travel period, I was on the road alone with guide and driver. That was brilliant!<br>The journey there was via Kathmandu, from where, after a half-day stay, I took the flight to Paro. This flight alone is already a unique experience. Along a mountain range of the highest peaks in this world up to the very special landing approach in Paro. Mrs. Kolay had booked a window seat on the &#8220;right&#8221; side of the plane for both outbound and return flights.<br>There I was met by a young woman, my female guide, and the driver. I immediately felt at ease in this country and with its so pleasant people.<br>The programme started immediately with the visit to the Paro Tsechu, a wonderful experience in which I was able to immediately immerse myself in the culture and religion of the country.<br>The trip took me from Paro via Punakha and Trongsa to Bumthang. The return went via the Phobjikha Valley, Thimphu and back to Paro.<br>Once again the country and above all the people and their culture impressed and enriched me so much.<br>This unique experience is thanks to Mrs. Kolay, her organisation and the partners on site. My companions were not only always reliable, but brought the country and its customs very, very well closer to me. My many questions were patiently answered.<br>All hotels were super pleasant, the meals delicious, especially also at lunchtime in smaller restaurants or homestays.<br>I am very happy that I discovered geoDiscovery Tours and can recommend it without reservation. Through the perfect organisation and accompaniment on site, I could fully and completely concentrate on the impressions and experiences.<br>A monk prophesied to me that I would come to his country a third time&#8230; I am not sure whether he might be right. And if so, then definitely again with geoDiscovery Tours!
