It was very impressive, vast, chaotic, breathtaking, astonishing, admirable, simple, mystical, incredible, pure nature, hearty, friendly people. You simply have to have experienced and seen it yourself. I&#8217;ll come back, no question!! The reception at the airport was overwhelming. I came out of Kathmandu airport and first saw what felt like 1,000 signs with names on them and everyone shouted names criss-cross through the air. The men were standing on the opposite side of the street. I then found the geoDiscovery Tours sign, but my name wasn&#8217;t on it. As I was trying to explain that to the man who was apparently supposed to help me across the street, my &#8220;man&#8221; was already there. I was then escorted by three men to a car. One spoke to me incessantly in English and asked me to give the man who was pushing my suitcase some money. In the end I pressed a 5-euro note into his hand, because I had no rupees yet and no small change. My &#8220;man&#8221; from geoDiscovery Tours then told me, never just give anyone money like that. But at the beginning I was so taken aback by the impressions and the demand of this man (suitcase pusher), that I really acted thoughtlessly. Well, learned something already in the first five minutes in Nepal \ud83d\ude09\r\n\r\n<strong>How were the selected hotels (room, breakfast, service, location)? <\/strong>\r\nThe hotel in Kathmandu was great and so was the breakfast buffet of course. I found the accommodations on the trek to be of varying quality and comfort. I know that I was in Nepal in the mountains and that our lodges in the mountains are also in part very spartanly equipped. If the accommodation doesn&#8217;t offer more, then you simply accept it, but if there is a possibility in the same accommodation to have a room with a private toilet, then that should be booked. It happened to me that I then felt a bit more comfortable straight away and could also &#8220;relax&#8221; better on the toilet. If that is not possible for financial reasons, the guest should be given the option to cover the surcharge for a standard room themselves. I would have been happy to do that, especially since the difference in Lukla, for example, was only 500 rupees.\r\n\r\n<strong>Were you satisfied with the cultural programme on the sightseeing day?  <\/strong>\r\nYes, the cultural programme was sensational, informative and also sufficient. I got a good insight into the religions, a feeling of the city and of the many people. During our tour it was just New Year&#8217;s Day and it seemed as if all the people had visited a temple on their day off\u2026\u2026it was simply impressive!\r\n\r\n<strong>How was the support from your guide?<\/strong>\r\nMy guide made a great effort. He was courteous and took care of me. He also tried to explain a lot to me. In the course of the trip, this got better and better. There were rather problems because of me, because I couldn&#8217;t speak English as well as he could. He was always concerned and asked about my well-being. But he also gave me my freedom and occasionally let me walk on my own for a stretch. I think he could also sense that I needed peace and time for myself to process all the impressions. I am happy and grateful that I had this guide!\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div><strong>How was the support from our local partner?   <\/strong>\r\nThe support on site was also brilliant. I was amazed at how quickly the bush telegraph could work. As soon as I was in the hotel, someone from the organisation was there again and inquired how I was doing and whether I needed anything. I felt thoroughly well looked after. In good, competent hands. I will recommend to everyone who also wants to do such a trip to fulfil their dream with you. \r\n\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div><strong>Were you satisfied with the selected lodges and the food selection during the trek?<\/strong>\r\nRegarding the lodges, I&#8217;ve already commented on this under question 2. The food was excellent in all restaurants and lodges. I myself was able to learn a lot in the process and still pay attention to a healthy diet now. During the trek I followed your advice and ate vegetarian. That worked very, very well and I didn&#8217;t miss meat a single time during the entire trip. On the way back, I occasionally treated myself to an egg for breakfast. That was something special then and accordingly especially tasty ;-). I was also very astonished by the offering of various healthy teas, and I tried almost all of them. These too were all very lovely!<strong>Was your route carried out according to your wishes?   <\/strong>\r\nI had already selected the route at home from the geoDiscovery Tours programme. Of course, I had no idea how this works and how far the route would be. I relied on the time indications. In the trip description, the route was declared as difficult. That is of course always a matter of opinion. Since I was a &#8220;group&#8221; of one, the guide set the pace. At first I thought, phew, that&#8217;s a slow coach. But over time I understood why my guide was holding me back, and right from the start he knew better how to manage my strength than I did! It was then rather boring for me when we had already reached the day&#8217;s destination by 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. and were in the lodge. I then set off on my own again and made a short exploration tour around the lodge. In my opinion, the daily stages could be made longer, especially on the way back. The entire tour could then be extended or shortened accordingly. But I made this experience during the tour. Before that I wasn&#8217;t aware of it, and on the ascent the short, slow daily stages were certainly useful to counteract altitude sickness.\r\n<strong>  <\/strong>\r\n<strong>How satisfied are you with the organisation of your trip and the advice before the trip?<\/strong>\r\nI am very satisfied with the organisation. As already mentioned, I would recommend you to everyone. The advice was also top-notch. I knew roughly what to expect. Every question was answered promptly and competently. I also found the welcome dinner very, very lovely. To meet as a guest the guides, the organisers and the fellow travellers at the same table at eye level, I found very lovely and harmonious. Everyone was attentively listened to and open questions were answered. So nothing stood in the way of the trip anymore!\r\n<strong>  <\/strong>\r\n<strong>Is there something you think we could do better or optimise?<\/strong>\r\nUm\u2026.nope\u2026.
