Relocation of domestic flights to / from Lukla from Kathmandu to Ramechap

This spring, too, the flights to Lukla will take place from Ramechap. The reason is that the runway of the Nepal International Airport is being renovated. Since many flights from abroad are processed in the morning, the domestic flights have been temporarily moved to Ramechap / Mhaltali airport. Ramechap is around 4 hours’ drive from Kathmandu and the flight to Lukla takes around 18 minutes.
The return flights from Ramechap are also affected by the relocation. In order to make this change as pleasant as possible for you, we will drive you to Ramechap with private vehicles and not with the buses of the airlines.
The trekking time is not affected by the changeover, we just have to shorten the sightseeing tour that takes place on the second day of the trip.

With the summit of Mera Peak Central you reach a view point with spectacular views of five eight-thousand-meter peaks: Cho Oyu to the northwest, Everest and Lhotse to the north, and Makalu and Kanchenjunga to the northeast.

Our trekking tour at Monsun – Annapurna Region

So that we could take beautiful pictures of the monsoon season in the mountains, we volunteered blood donations to numerous leeches, witnessed some open air showers, drank many warm cups of tea and ate three meals a day of delicious Dal Bhat. It is a pity that due to the landslide danger, such beautiful tours can not be offered during the monsoon season. Nevertheless, we want to send you beautiful pictures of course. WE LOVE NEPAL!

“Mountain of the soul”

This is the majestic Manaslu. One of the fourteen eight-thousanders that exist on this earth. The summit in Nepal is the 8th highest mountain in the world at an altitude of 8163 meters. His name comes from Sanskrit and means “mountain of the soul”. The first ascent took place in 1956 and has since attracted many expeditions. If you want to see this giant, you can marvel at it during the Manaslu round. We love Nepal.

Monastery Tengboche in the Everest Region

Nestled in the breathtaking mountain landscape of the Himalayas, lies the Buddhist monastery Tengboche, which is one of the three oldest in the Khumbu area. It is located at an altitude of 3867 meters within Sagarmatha National Park, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. This beautiful stone masonry was built in 1916 by Lama Gulu and has since been rebuilt several times and furnished. Magnificent views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam reveal that spiritual place that can provide rewarding and inspiring experiences.

Today the Holi Festival takes place in Nepal. At this ancient Hindu festival people in Nepal and India celebrate the end of winter. It is a kind of spring carnival, where people throw paint bags and water balloons. Unlike many Hindu holidays there are no religious requirements or prayers and it’s a day set aside purely for fun. The next Holi Festival will take place on March 20, 2019.

The Annapurna region in Nepal is named after the mountain of the same name, the 10th highest mountain in the world. It is famous for its flora and fauna, with tropical bamboo and rhododendron forests, wild highland landscapes, picturesque villages, terrace fields, hot springs and spectacular views on 7000 and 8000 meters. Numerous trekking tours between 2,000 m and 6,000 meters can be undertaken in the region. The most famous routes are the Annapurna Circuit, the Annapurna Base Camp trek and the Poon Hill trek. In the meantime, however, there are also numerous newly developed trekking routes in less overrun areas, e.g. Kopra Dhanda, Mardi Himal or Muldai Peak trekking you will not be less enthusiastic.

I did not know it,
I had never experienced it before.
.

Could someone have prepared me,
described the feelings that would come over me, prepared me for this outburst of Emotion?

I am above the clouds, over 5,000 meters high (Gokyo Ri 5.357 m),
Far away from any civilization and noise.
I have arrived at silence, at peace!
Can hear the wind blowing softly, feel how softly he touches my skin and sings me a song of unknown sounds. Tasting sweetly on the tongue!

Have I ever experienced such a peaceful environment?
Was I ever filled with such bliss?

I breathe deeply from the sweet air and let myself be inspired by the first rays of the sun.

Could I fly if I only stretched out my arms?
