As a specialist for trekking, cultural and nature tours, we combine breathtaking landscapes with authentic encounters. In Nepal, Ladakh, Bhutan and Tibet, as well as on trekking and safari tours in Kenya and on trekking and cultural tours in Georgia and Armenia, people, nature and respect are at the heart of everything we do.

Our experienced local teams and staff are the heart of our journeys. Our guides have many years of trekking experience, are trained in altitude acclimatisation and safety, and know the trails, weather and conditions first-hand.

About me / Founder of geoDiscovery Tours

With many years of experience exploring remote countries, I discovered my passion for the majestic Himalaya. Nepal — the country with the most beautiful mountain landscape in the world —, Bhutan — the land of happy people — and Tibet, the roof of the world and a centre of spirituality, have fascinated me deeply. These regions inspired me so much that in 2015 I founded geoDiscovery Tours to give other travellers the opportunity to discover this unique world in their own way.

My travels have taken me on numerous trekking tours and to several 6,000 m summits in Nepal, including Island Peak, Lobuche East Peak and Mera Peak. These experiences have given me not only unforgettable views of the breathtaking Himalaya landscape but have also deepened my love for trekking in this unique region. Every tour and every summit brought new challenges and valuable experiences.

In addition to my adventures in the Himalaya, I have also climbed Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru in Tanzania and Mount Kenya. I have been equally impressed by the fascinating wildlife of East Africa, the scenic landscapes and the cultural diversity of these regions. Supporting local employment is particularly important to me. That is why we consistently work with local guides — to support communities on the ground and to enable authentic insights into culture and tradition.

As a passionate trekker and traveller in largely untouched regions, it is my passion to create unforgettable and safe mountain adventures and cultural tours for our guests. Every tour is personally prepared by me so that I can realistically assess safety as well as the requirements for fitness and stamina.

I am convinced that our generation has privileged opportunities that should be made use of. To me, undertaking long-distance journeys only to find the same infrastructure as at home feels like a missed chance. Instead, I value the diversity of this world — and gladly share it with our guests.
