For the second time we travelled to Nepal with geoDiscovery Tours, this time on the Manaslu Circuit. Once again it was indescribable and wonderful. Manaslu, also called the mountain of souls, can be seen from the 5th trekking day and is easily recognisable by its double peak. Up to the highest point at the Larke Pass at more than 5000m, many metres of altitude and steep paths up and down had to be tackled. The exertion was forgotten in an instant once we had reached the pass – what an indescribable feeling! Every single day was an experience: the high mountains, varied landscapes, Buddhist mountain villages, the influence of Tibetan culture, the modest and contented life in the mountains, the challenge and effort, but above all the lovely people.
The trip organisation with geoDiscovery was outstanding, and the guides and porters were always professional, reliable, flexible and very friendly.
