Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Our tours are aimed at travellers interested in trekking, culture, nature and safari. Our trekking tours are suitable for travellers with normal to very good basic fitness. Many of our trekking tours are ideal for beginners, while others are aimed at travellers looking for more challenge or who are already experienced trekkers. Every trekking tour is described and sorted by difficulty level.
In addition, we offer carefully curated safari and cultural tours. These are aimed at guests interested in culture and nature who appreciate unspoilt countries and authentic encounters.

The international flight is not included in the tour price. However, we are happy to book it for you on request.
Whether you book the flight through us or arrange it yourself, we always take care of the complete organisation in the destination country — from the airport pick-up to the return to the airport at the end of your journey.

No, not necessarily. For beginners we offer carefully planned routes with moderate stages. What matters is sure-footedness, good basic fitness and a willingness to engage with new surroundings. For more challenging tours, tolerance for high altitude is a basic requirement.

We travel in small groups of 2 to 8 people. On request, we also organise individual tours for couples, families or private groups.

Yes. Safety is our top priority. Our local teams are experienced, the routes carefully planned, and on all trekking tours we make sure there is sufficient acclimatisation. On safari tours, too, professional guides and careful organisation ensure a high level of safety. Our teams know the terrain, the weather and local conditions in detail.

Our tours are designed so that your body can gradually adapt to the altitude. Our guides pay attention to your well-being and respond early to any signs of overexertion. Of course, you should follow the altitude rules we share with you.

We specialise in trekking and cultural tours in Nepal, Ladakh, Bhutan and Tibet, as well as in trekking and safari tours in Tanzania and Kenya, and trekking and cultural tours in Georgia and Armenia.

Very close. Through small groups, local teams and accommodation typical of each country, real encounters arise with people, culture, nature and wildlife on the ground.

Yes. In addition to fixed departures, we are happy to plan tailor-made tours — for solo travellers, couples, families or private groups, for trekking, cultural and safari tours alike.

We use good, locally typical hotels in cities and national parks. On trekking tours we stay in guesthouses, simple teahouse lodges or tents, depending on the infrastructure. On safari tours we choose carefully selected lodges and camps. Where possible, we also offer accommodation with a higher level of comfort.

We work closely with local partners, treat our staff fairly and place great emphasis on environmentally conscious travel as well as a respectful approach to culture, nature and wildlife.

After your booking, you will receive detailed information on equipment, fitness, health and the itinerary. We are also happy to advise you personally on all your questions.

Because with us you are not just a customer but a guest. We combine experience, personal support, local expertise and responsible travel to create special trekking, cultural and safari experiences off the usual paths.
