Our Nepal trip is now half a year ago and we still remember the impressive experiences and encounters of our journey. We came to know Nepal as a country that to a large extent is rooted in tradition, but in places is also attempting the transition into the western world. Overall, the trip was very well organised and carried out.
Your local team took wonderful care of us, without us perceiving it as intrusive. We were always given the flexibility to reshape the schedule of a day. So we were able to postpone the city tour in Kathmandu by one day and also to give up the last hiking day in favour of a more detailed visit to the monastery in Muktinath.
The Annapurna Circuit was very well organised. Surja as guide and Man as porter did a great job and thus made the tour easier and unforgettable for us.
The hotels in the cities matched our preferences and were very well chosen, like the teahouses during the trekking.
As lovers of Asian cuisine, we were always very well fed, during the trekking even better than we had expected in advance.
The highlights of our trip, however, were on the one hand the overwhelming nature, which cannot be conveyed in pictures. Mountains, rivers and valleys are so gigantic compared with our home country.
On the other hand, Hinduism and Buddhism accompany you at every turn. Religion is very strongly anchored in everyday life among the population. Good karma is important, which is reflected in the friendly way people deal with one another.
