This spring, too, the flights to Lukla will operate from Ramechap. The reason is that the runway of Nepal’s international airport is being renovated. Since many flights from abroad are handled in the morning, the domestic flights have been temporarily relocated to Ramechap / Manthali Airport. Ramechap is approximately a 4-hour drive from Kathmandu and the flight to Lukla takes around 18 minutes.
The return flights from Lukla are also affected by the relocation. To make this change as pleasant as possible for you, we will drive you to Ramechap in private vehicles rather than on the airline buses.
The trekking duration is not affected by the change; we only have to shorten the sightseeing tour, which takes place on the second day of the trip, a little.
