It was our first trip to Nepal, but certainly not the last. From beginning to end it was a huge experience that will continue to resonate for a long time.
Framed by getting to know the Nepalese culture through sightseeing, we were able to experience and hike the unique mountain world of the Everest region.
It got exciting right at the start with the flight into Lukla, the starting point of the trek – itself a special adventure.
The impressions on the trek are unique, the mountains simply enormous – after all, they are the highest in our world.
We admired the people there for how they manage everyday life with “so little” compared to our western world, with incredible friendliness and a positive attitude.
As enthusiastic mountain hikers, we particularly enjoyed the nature of the mountain landscape.
The acclimatisation days were excellently integrated into the tour and contributed significantly to our being able to enjoy the higher altitudes too.
The organisation by geoDiscovery Tours was simply perfect before, during and after the trip. We were lucky that Mrs. Kolay was in Kathmandu at the same time and we received very personal support.
With our guide Mingmar we also felt very comfortable and safe at all times. He took care of us in every situation to make things as pleasant as possible for us. Thank you so much!!
