I did not know,
I had never experienced it before.
Could anyone have prepared me,
described the feelings that would wash over me, attuned me to this outburst of emotion?
I am above the clouds, more than 5,000 metres high (Gokyo Ri 5,357 m),
far away from any civilisation and noise.
I have arrived in the silence, in peace!
I can hear the wind blowing gently, feel how softly it touches my skin and sings me a song of unknown sounds. It tastes sweet on the tongue!
Have I ever felt such a peaceful environment?
Was I ever so filled with bliss?
I breathe deeply of the sweet air and let the first rays of sunshine carry me away.
Could I fly if I only stretched out my arms?
